22 January 1912.
Dear Miss Addams:
I realize that in your busy life it is a tax to read so long a letter. But will you not let your mind dwell on what I have said in regard to the election of United States Senators and the presidential primary in the copy of my letter to Mrs. Dennett which I am sending you? I think this action of the board places us in a very unfavorable light throughout the country.
Yours always,
Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago.
