My dear Miss Addams:

It was very good of you indeed to send us those reminiscences of Colonel Roosevelt. Enclosed is a clipping of one of your stories. I am also loaning you Miss Wald’s story about Jan Pouren, in which perhaps you will be especially interested. Do you happen to know any anecdotes of this type or any stories giving a particularly constructive side of Mr. Roosevelt’s work? We would tremendously appreciate [receiving] a brief account of your contacts with Roosevelt during the formation of the platform for the Progressive Party. Would it be possible for you to dictate this at any time during this summer? The Syndicate series has still one more year to run, and we are gathering together the anecdotes for book use. Your [cooperation] will be very much appreciated.

Sincerely yours
Ethel Armes [signed]

P.S. Kindly return Miss Wald’s story when you have read it.
