Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.

My dear Miss Addams: --

I find that I have not received an answer to the letter sent you recently as per copy herewith. I can quite appreciate the many demands upon your time, but as we have received responses from such people as Hon. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Prof. H. M. MacCracken, Mr. Samuel Gompers, Senator Jas. W. Wadsworth and Mr. Wm. A. White, and as we are anxious to publish the replies but do not wish to do so until we have heard from you, I am sending this reminder in the hopes that you may be able to give us the benefit of your answers to the enclosed questions.

Very truly yours,

C M Penfield [signed]
C. M. Penfield,
Assistant to the Chairman.
