My dear Mr Hall:
I do not remember ever having been interviewed by The American Suffragette, and I certainly have never said to that paper or to any other that "the poor would be with us always." I am too well grounded in Kropotkin's "Fields, ↑Factories↓, and Workshops" not to agree with the contention of your letter. I certainly consider it most desirable to have all charities abolished and working people independent.
