Darling
Eleanor's letters have been of great comfort to me. You know how I rejoice over any tendency to sleep. This is the end of a long day at H. H. and I am feeling quite fine. Your father seems very well and Miss Christenson has an air of being in command which is very [becoming?] to her. I am glad to know of my tortoise shell glasses -- please just keep [page 2] them until I come. I looked all over the third floor for them on Sunday afternoon and concluded they had gotten lost in the preparations for the paper hangers.
I gave an extra lecture today which makes my fifth. I am fairly tired at the end <of all> and the prospect of three weeks sleep is quite alluring.
