My dear Miss Addams:

Your letter and the manuscript on Tolstoy have both been received, and we are greatly obliged to you for having given us the opportunity to consider this material.  Your reminder regarding its probable date of publication in book form will be carefully borne in mind, and I hope to be able to give you our decision in a short time.

It was a great privilege and pleasure to me to call upon you at Hull House [page 2] and my only regret is that time did not permit me to take advantage of your very kind invitation to remain to dinner.  With best wishes, believe me

Very sincerely yours

Franklin B. Wiley [signed]
