Dear dear dearest friend

I send you a tiny note for Christmas to convey my love, & to say that I like letters dictated, or written out, & directed, or posted, not only those written [page 2] in your mind.

My new edition is out, & is going here "exceedingly well" according to [Messrs] Murray -- I wonder how it will go in America -- I know you think it would be helpful, & so you will perhaps spare a little [page 3] time to help the USA folk to know about it. [Messrs] Putnam are bringing it out early in Jany.

We have decided to have The International Settlement Conference on July 6-16 1922 -- because we believe you will come, & because we think that England had better be given the opportunity of entertaining Americans while they are all feeling so kindly & enthusiastic.

I am on the Comtees & doing my small best that the occasion [shall] be one when you & we shall touch more than the [outsides of things]. Now accept [my?] real love & do not be an unkind friend to yours ever

Henrietta O Barnett
