Dear Miss Addams:-

I have your letter of the 17th, and I am very glad to learn of the book which you can make up from the papers to which you refer. Of the titles you mention, the best one it seems to me is "Juvenile Delinquency and Public Morality". We should be very glad to have the book to publish in the Fall, and I have pleasure in proposing that we pay you a royalty of 13% on the retail price of the first 1500 copies sold, and 15% on all copies sold thereafter. Will you be so good as to let me know whether this is satisfactory? If it is, I shall be glad to forward an agreement for your approval and signature,

I am,

Very sincerely yours,
Edward C. Marsh [signed]
