Miss Jane Addams,
The Hull House, Chicago.

Dear Miss Addams:-

Should you and Miss Tarbell yield to the patriotic opportunity and join us in our Fourth of July preparation service, we will be glad to bring and return you in an automobile so as to reduce your strain. The ladies are preparing to serve a bit of lunch [upstairs] after the service for our guests and a few of the old friends of the Kents.

I hope you can come, but we will be merciful and not distress you with our importunities. If I knew in time to announce your presence we would have a hearing [worthwhile]. I am sure you will let me know your decision at your earliest convenience.

Yours ever ready to reciprocate,

Item Relations
