WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM
FORMERLY WOMEN'S INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE FOR PERMANENT PEACE

Dear Friend:

May I express to you my appreciation that you have become a direct member of the International organization.

As the report of the Zurich Congress is still delayed, I am sending you an account published by the English Branch, a copy of the constitution and two sets of resolutions. I shall be glad to supply more of the latter if you can use them, and I hope you will call upon me for any service I may be able to render.

I am sure that the materials you receive from Geneva will convince you of the value of the National body, it is at least a comfort to know directly of the conditions in starving Europe and the beginnings of a genuine effort "to end the war".

Faithfully yours,

Jane Addams. [signed]
