I have meant to write to you each day since I left you in Boston but postponed it until our plans should bring me back there again. But because my main object in life is to keep Miss Smith in the country that has not yet come about. We come to Boston the last of next week and we both hope very much that [page 2] you will be able to dine with us at the Hotel Bellevue on Friday evening June 15th at half past six. I hope very much that you are not to be out of town by that time and I need not tell you again how grateful I am for your many kindnesses to me.
