My dear Miss Pelham:

Miss Addams has asked me to thank you for your letter in reference to the manuscript of a photo-play called "War Gain" and to return to you the enclosed letter from the author.

I regret to say that the Woman's Peace Party has no funds at its disposal for the staging of material of this sort though I think that it is one of the best ways of reaching the people of which I know. Should you care to submit the manuscript to Mrs. John J. White, the Chairman of the Arts Committee, 1824 R Street, Washington, D.C., I think she would be very glad indeed to see it. She reported at the Annual Meeting in Washington how great a need there was for good photo-plays and I know she would be interested, though I am doubtful whether she would be able to help you any.

Sincerely yours,

Office Secretary

Miss Caroline C. Pelham,
New Harmony, Indiana.
