Biographical Text

Victor Elting was a lawyer in Chicago. He attended Columbia University and the University of Michigan. Elting was president of the City Club, the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations, the mid-western branch of the League of Nations Association, and the English Speaking Union in Chicago. He was also the national director of the American Protective League in World War I.

Elting married Marie Winston in 1905. They had two sons together. Elting died in 1956.
