Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.

My dear Miss Addams:

I do regret so much that it is impossible to be present at the Sunday meeting, since I cannot leave here before the evening of the 19th, owing to local work and engagements. I feared that the child labor meeting would make it impossible to have another meeting at the time, because the people interested in that work would naturally be interested in the other. But I shall see you again with so much pleasure when I speak there on the way to Washington to attend the child labor meeting, and if the opportunity offers I shall mention the subject of women's suffrage.

Sincerely yours,

Item Relations
