OVERWORK IS DEGRADING, SAYS JANE ADDAMS

New York, Sept. 24 -- [Special.] -- At the international conference of women physicians at the National Y.W.C.A. headquarters today Miss Jane Addams of Chicago told of seeing women with the air of absolute exhaustion.

"The moral wreckage among women reduced to this state, where there is little physical resistance, is very great," she said.

"The overworked mother has the affection of her family as reward of her efforts, but she becomes cross. It is not difficult to understand how the worn out little factory girl may be tempted."
