My dear Miss Addams:
I had the pleasure of hearing your nominating speech before the Progressive [Convention], and I want to tell you how proud [page 2] and happy we all were (not least myself) rejoicing both in the matter of what you said and your manner in saying it.
I should have written at once, but I had a broken wrist which made it impossible. [page 3]
May I say too that I think your attitude as a suffragist is just right, I say this because if the criticism of some suffragists.
