My dear Miss Addams,

I am so sorry you did not come [today] with us -- I had sent you a wire to The Hague about a week ago but as I never got an answer, I am afraid you did not get the wire. -- I am most anxious to see you for a few minutes while you are here. When can that be? I will try to fit in any time you fix. If you can come to me & see my home & children I would love it -- but if you have not got the time, I will [page 2] come to you. --

I hope to hear you on Thursday evening & meet you tomorrow afternoon. --

Yours lovingly but sadly

Adela Coit

My husband is still in California! -- If my motor-car can be of use to you I shall be glad to offer it [by] <to> you when you tell me when you would like it? Any time after today.
