Dear Sir: --

Your letter to Miss Addams has been opened at this office.

Miss Addams is at present in the east on a lecture tour, but your plan will be submitted to her promptly upon her return. I have read it over carefully, and think you have exactly the right idea, and have pointed out the weak spots in the plan of the Woman's Peace Party. You will see that these are the results of our rather one-sided thinking. We are preparing for Peace, and not for War.
