Miss Jane Addams,
Hull-House,
Chicago, Ill.

My dear Miss Addams,

Your very kind invitation for me to meet with a number of women's organizations in Washington on Jan. 10th to consider the organization of a National Peace Committee of Women has duly reached me. I am sorry that a previous engagement, makes it impossible for me to be in Washington on that date.

Our organization has no Peace Committee so that it will be impossible for me to send such representatives as you suggest.

Thanking you for your cordial invitation, and wishing you a very happy New Year,

believe me,

Sincerely yours,

Maude Wetmore [signed]
Chairman.
