My dear Mr. Ickes:-
The enclosed letter came in my yesterday's mail, and while I replied that I knew of no one who would be willing to finance the gentleman's newspaper plan, I did say that I had sent his letter on to a "Progressive" friend.
I thought you might be interested in it -- not as a scheme, perhaps, but as showing the sentiment of the South.
