Biographical Text

Harold Fowler McCormick was the son of Cyrus McCormick, inventor of the Mechanical Reaper. McCormick worked as the chairman of the board for the International Harvester Company. He was the brother of Anita McCormick Blaine and was an avid supporter of Hull House. McCormick died in 1941.

He married Edith Rockefeller in 1895, though they divorced in 1921. They had five children. McCormick later married Ganna Walska in 1922, later divorcing in 1931.
