HULL-HOUSE,
335 SOUTH HALSTED STREET,
CHICAGO.
My dear Mr Robertson

May I thank you for the book of your poems -- both because I am much pleased that you cared to send it and because it has given me much pleasure to read it.

We so seldom have the courage to speak out to each other concerning the deeper issues of life [page 2] and of death -- that to rest of us owe a debt to those of you who do--

Hoping that we may again see you at Hull-House and thanking you for your kindness I am

Faithfully yours
Jane Addams
