BRUFANIS' GRAND HOTEL
PERUGIA
May 26" 1913
My dear Alice
We are motoring on to Florence but stop to see so many cities by the way that we don't get on very fast, besides Mrs Bowen has been wretched for several days and we are stopping on her account.
I am sending you a picture of Orvieto & some of Perugia but I assume that these [page 2] Italian towns are more familiar than the others. I never realized how beautiful Umbria is -- nothing could be more perfect than the month of May here, all day in Assisi was something to be always remembered.
I am not quite sure whether or not I will stay on for the International Suffrage Convention, it will depend on Mrs Bowen's health. Always your loving sister
J. A.
