Dear Miss Addams:

I wrote this line to put in the hands of Mr. R. G. Cholmeley-Jones, of our staff, who has been commissioned by Mr. Charles Lanzier, the head of our business organization, to ask a favor of you.

I will not try to state the matter itself, but will ask you to let Mr. Cholmeley-Jones explain. He is nephew of the late Richard Watson Gilder, and is himself a valued and effective worker social-reform movements in this portion of the East Side New York.

Believe me, as always, with great regard,

Faithfully yours,

Miss Jane Addams
