My dear Miss North

I am sorry your mother is ill and also very much disappointed that you are not coming back this fall. Won't you let me know as soon as you come back to Chicago that we may arrange for whatever time you can give.

I wish you might be at Waukegan next Saturday, [page 2] the new house will make possible many new things there.

I am sure you know that I appreciate all you have done for the county as well as for the Halsted St activity for Hull-House.
