My dear Miss Addams: --
May I send just a word of greeting to a very busy and useful woman? I want to say that in my Junior Sociology class during the semester I have used your "Twenty Years in the Hull House" to such splendid advantage. We used it as a text for about six weeks having in conjunction with it what we might find about the more recent works of the writer and those who worked with her.
I take this method of thanking you for the book and the helpful work you have and are doing.
