Biographical Text

Jasper L. McBrien was a Professor of Rural Education at Indiana State Normal School and Director of University Extension at the University of Nebraska. He attended Campbell Normal University, Lincoln Normal University, University of Nebraska, and American University. He had also worked as a principal and superintendent of various schools in Nebraska and served as Nebraska's superintendent of public instruction. In 1905, McBrien helped create the Nebraska Boys’ Agricultural Association and Nebraska Girls’ Domestic Science Association.

McBrien married Eva L. Forbes in 1892. They had two children together. McBrien died in 1935.
