My dear Mr. Whitlock: --
I have been very much impressed by Galsworthy's "Justice" as given by our young people. I wish very much that Mrs. Whitlock and yourself could come to Chicago for one of its presentations, either April nineteenth or April twenty-sixth. I really think it would be worth your while to make the journey from Toledo here. I am enclosing a little cutting by James O'Donnell Bennett who is perhaps our most discriminating critic.
This invitation sounds rather dry, but it really is given with a great deal of warmth and hope that you may be able to come.
Sincerely yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
