My dear Mrs Robins
I am spending the day in the hospital with my little nephew who has had his tonsils removed, but perhaps you won't mind my writing you from here to thank you for the book which you so kindly sent at Xmas. I had a copy years ago to which I was much [page 2] devoted but it was lost long ago and to have this one is like meeting an old friend.
