Dear Madam

Have always been greatly interested in the subject you are discussing in McClures, as stated in your article self consciousness together with ignorance of how to approach has been a stumbling block and procrastination completed the trinity the father of six children.

The father of five "grown ups." All have had to blaze their way for themselves. Though nothing tragic has [happened] [page 2] that I know of. Yet the fact remains luck not science has triumphed if tragedy has lost.

Records are complete with fearful examples. But I look in vain for life illustrations showing the wonderful rewards that come to lives which carefully shun the rocks and avoid the shoals one good shepherd can lead a thousand sheep where 10 herdsmen could not drive them.

I could tell you of a wonderfully happy outcome in the life of an old man that if woven into a story might [page 3] induce many to strive to for such an experience in their declining years.

Yours Very Truly
J. H. Brown
