My dear Miss Addams:

Please accept my thanks for your letter of the 9th. I shall be glad if we can have your book for very early Fall publication. It will be possible to put the book through the press in time if we have the MS in the early part of June, provided the proofs can be passed rapidly. I should much prefer, however to have more time than that and I think you will also be glad to feel that you could read the proofs with more leisure. Ought not the book to be illustrated? If it is it will require a little more time than otherwise.

I should be best pleased if the manuscript could be sent to us, say in April, for then we should have time to plan to book and the selling campaign carefully. These suggestions of course are subject to your own plan.

I hope your readers in Chicago are now able to get your new book. We shall try not to disappoint them again.

I am

Very truly yours,

Edward C. Marsh [signed]
