"I find that the First Regiment Armory is cheaper than the Coliseum. The Armory rents for $200 a day, or $1500 a week. The Coliseum for $500 a day if for a week.

Capt. Knox, Quartermaster at the Armory, tells me that the whole month of March is engaged, but that the latter half of April will probably be available.

Supt. Hall of the Coliseum, in the absence from the city of the manager Stewart Spalding, tells me that the first opening for his building is May 9th, when it can be had for sixteen days.

I have been corresponding with Sec. Charles Powlison from some time past urging him to loan us at least part of his material and suggesting that it ought to be put on a [traveling] basis."
