My dear Miss Addams:

I am planning to print the suffrage article in October, but I can easily change my plans and print "The Bad Boy of the Street" in October and the second article, as yet unnamed, in November. Of course, we would like it if the book could be held off until the appearance of the second article, but if Mr. Brett is insistent upon the book's coming out, suppose we meet half way and say that October fifteenth would be perfectly satisfactory to us for the appearance of the book. Then I will hold over the [page 2] suffrage article until after the holiday season.

Thank you very much for your permission to divide the "Bad Boy"" article, but I think it might be safer for you to see the two separate articles, and when they are done I will send them to you.

I am asking our treasurer to remit to you for this article, and I have also remitted to Mr. Crissey since he was concerned in it.

Believe me

Very cordially yours,

Edward Bok [signed]

Miss Jane Addams
