Miss Jane Addams,
Hull's Cove,
Maine.

Dear Miss Addams:

Thank you for your note of the 28th. I am forwarding it to Mr. Bing. Do you remember I sent you a letter from a former I.W.W. who is now on a trade paper in Chicago and who offered to cooperate in any inquiry? His name is Ralph Winstead and his address is 122 West Oak St., Chicago. He came out to see you and Mr. Byron, I think. Unquestionably he would be of real service to Mr. Bing and I am sending him Mr. Winstead's address.

At this same time this prods my memory that Mr. Winstead's letter to me was extremely confidential. When you get back to Chicago will you be good enough to look it up and destroy it? It may be in Mr. Byron's hands.

I shall not attempt to get to East Aurora next week.

Sincerely,
