HULL-HOUSE
335 SOUTH HALSTED STREET
CHICAGO
February 15, 1907.
My dear Mr. Ely:
When Mrs. Mead was here we talked over the meeting in New York, and I was almost persuaded that I would be able to come, but upon sober second thoughts I find that impossible, and must decline with very sincere regret.
We hope to arrange a meeting in Chicago before all of the noted foreign gentleman leave our shores. Perhaps I shall be just as useful putting in my efforts here.
With cordial greetings to Mrs. Ely and yourself, I am
Faithfully yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
Mr. Robert E. Ely,
New York City.
