GERMANS O.K.: JANE ADDAMS

Efforts at Rehabilitation a Success, She Tells Club.

Conditions in Germany have improved so much during the last two years that the country is now able to feed the entire population without American aid, according to Miss Jane Addams, head of Hull House who spoke [today] at a luncheon of the German club of Chicago at the Morrison hotel.

"During my four months' visit to Germany," Miss Addams said, "I found that her efforts at rehabilitation have met with great success. This has been especially true of her efforts to feed her people.

"A great deal of American aid will be necessary this winter, however, to keep the Austrian children from starving. Many of these children who have been saved from starvation will need extra feeding or they will soon lapse back into their former condition."
