Biographical Text

Ze Barney T. Phillips was an Episcopalian minister, serving at Trinity Church in Chicago. In 1924 he moved to Washington D.C. to take up the Church of the Epiphany. In 1927, he was appointed as the chaplain of the U. S. Senate, and in 1941 became the dean of the Washington Cathedral. Phillips died in 1942.

Phillips married Sallie Hens Winston in 1906. They had two daughters: Sallie and Faith.
