Dear Miss Addams:

Mrs. Garfield's letter is very interesting and I will take it up with the Committee at their meeting next Wednesday. Thank you for sending it to me.

I have just received another letter from Mr. McDonald who has seen Gilbert Murray who, he believes, would welcome an opportunity to come to America in the spring but not sooner. Professor Murray wants America in the League "on any terms so that she may support England against France. He feels that our tendency would inevitably be in that direction."
