Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Illinois.

Dear Miss Addams:

Thank you ever so much for your note in regard to my letter in the League of Free Nations Bulletin.

At our last meeting I was asked to draft a statement in regard to the international conference which could be carried with them by several members of our Executive Committee who are going abroad this summer. It is to come up in final draft at the meeting on June 10. I had written the enclosed before receiving your letter. It strikes me as altogether too matter-of-fact. Won't you blue pencil it savagely [or] better write me a new version which would put a gleam into it.

Sincerely,

Paul U Kellogg [signed]
