Dear Miss Addams:

I am afraid I dropped a stitch, and perhaps a pretty bad one.

When Miss McDowell was here she brought a copy of the new Barnett volume, and suggested that we get you to review it in addition to the reference she made in her article on British conditions in our March magazine number.

Well, she wrote me that she had put the volume in your hands. I hope she said at the time that I was all for getting you to write the review, and that you may have found time to attempt it before setting forth for Europe.

Just scratch your reply at the foot of this page, and slip it in enclosed envelope. I know you are pressed in leaving.

Good luck to you on your journey.

Sincerely,

Miss Jane Addams

P.S. Would it be possible for you to write anything for us when you are abroad?
