12 WEST WALTON PLACE

Dec. 20

Dear Mrs. Kohn

The roses were lovely and Miss Addams enjoyed them very much. She sent her love and thanks when they came, but I have not had much chance to write and now I'm scribbling this in bed.

I hear you, too, are rather low and I do hope it is not this horrid influenza which [page 2] seems to have prostrated so many.

With apologies for my tardiness and for this scrawl.

I am

Always affectionately yours

Mary Rozet Smith
