Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.

Dear Miss Addams: --

I have written Mr. Schafer suggesting that he get Mr. W. Frank Persons to prepare the pamphlet. He has just resigned as Director [General] of Civilian Relief of the Red Cross and might be free to undertake the commission. Thank you for suggesting me but it is outside the question just now at the peak of our year -- even if I felt that I were equipped to do the job. I took it up with Mr. Devine but he felt that he could not attempt it. I do not know that Mr. Persons can.

With best wishes, for the New Year.

Sincerely,

Item Relations
