My dear Miss Addams -- [Verily], the days have come when that which is spoken "in the darkness" of the Evanston Congregational Church "shall be proclaimed" (next morning) "upon the housetops" of Seattle!! Judge Carters "exception" to your address was noted in our morning paper. The antics of our militarist friends are funny; if they weren't so deadly serious. There is nothing so sensational as the Simple Truth -- is there? I wonder that some Evangelist [page 2] has over-looked this. But Jesus saw it, faced it -- and "the result has gone with history."
