My dear Miss Addams:

I am coming back to you once more, you see, to get that Thursday lecture which we were disappointed in getting last year. Could you lecture before our students on the second Thursday of October—October 12th, the lecture occuring at eleven o'clock A.M.

I am most anxious that they should have a chance to hear you again and I should be particularly glad to have your address with the note that it will surely come early in the college year. I want to get some key note sounded early in the year that will [page 2] [make] a difference in the spirit of the students for the entire year.

I [am] sorry that we can only offer expenses but you will have the opportunity of addressing a very inspiring college audience.

With sincere esteem, I am,

Very truly yours,

Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.

I can be addressed always at Oberlin.
