My dear Mrs. Lewis:

Your two letters did come together as you surmised and I am sure that the 23rd will be early enough to sail. That will give us time to write you once or twice again as the situation develops.

Your not getting my reply to Dr. Jacobs was a sheer blunder and I am sending a copy of this now. I am writing her again and will keep you informed of developments.

I do hope your daughter is better and is getting over the affects of our brutal Chicago climate. Please give my cordial greetings to her and your mother and sister.

Devotedly yours,

Mrs. J. Reece Lewis,
Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.
