My dear Mrs Blaine

It gives me much pleasure to write you the good opinion all of us here entertain for Miss Landsberg.

She is always [illegible] and charming, and carries through her work with a great deal of enthusiasm. She has had some very difficult classes at Hull-House, of Greeks, [Romanians] and Italians and seems to possess an unusual power for [page 2] making her knowledge available and focusing it upon a given situation. You know, of course, of her scholarly qualifications, so that I need not mention them, beyond stating that they seem to be thoroughly a part of herself and not to be "tacked on" the outside. Congratulating you upon the fine staff which the Francis W. Parker School is gathering for itself, I am

Very faithfully yours

Jane Addams
