VOTES FOR WOMEN
EMPIRE STATE CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE
MAIN HEADQUARTERS
303 FIFTH AVENUE
NEW YORK

September 9th, 1915.

Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.

My dear Miss Addams: --

Miss Louise Grant would like to devote herself to lecturing in behalf of peace and requests me to say a word to you about her speaking. Miss Grant has rendered excellent service to the Woman Suffrage Campaign in New York. We have sent her to many places in the State and have had highly [complementary] reports on her work. There has been constant demand for her return and sincere regret that we can no longer command her services because of her inability to continue outdoor speaking.

I can warmly recommend Miss Grant as a convincing, logical speaker and a worthy advocate of the cause of peace.

Cordially,

Carrie Chapman Catt [signed]
