[for?] Mrs Hobhouse

The first school on this list No. 9 was the worst school in Leipzig. It is now the best of these 32 schools. It shows what feeding can do -- for it has been fed the longest and steadiest. We began there in January 1919.

The children are classified by the doctors into 4 grades of bodily condition. No. I is the best but the best is but poor in Germany today. No. IV is very badly undernourished indeed thought doctors say the line is hard to draw between that and Grade III.

These seven higher class schools show a large proportion in the lower grades. The 9000 we feed daily covers Grade IV but only 1500 of the large number in Grade III.
