My dear Miss Wald—

I am afraid that Miss Greene wouldn't do for us, as the desire to "make money for herself" is the crucial point of Miss Cronk's going away. While we feel that the management of the Coffee House must be part of the House in general-- However we are in no crisis and Mrs Cronk may even decide to stay for a year or two longer. I thank you very much for [page 2] your letter and I am wonderfully interested in the project.

I haven't time for a letter this morning but I do hope the summer will bring you this way.

You have been so good to the Kelleys, I am grateful from the bottom of my heart!
