Biographical Text

Grace DeGraff was a public school teacher and peace activist. She was the president of League of Teachers' Associations. DeGraff was a delegate to the International Congress of Women in 1915 and 1919, representing the League of Teacher's Associations. She also particiated in the Ford Peace Ship delegation in December 1915 to negotiate an end to World War I, returning to Portland on February 3, 1916. DeGraff died in 1951.
